The dugouts on Lake Malawi have very narrow openings on top

The board across the end is not for sitting on,,, Its to put a lantern on to attract the fish (they think its the moon)... The boats go out at night.

 The kids are so friendly... They all want to hold your hand as you walk along :)

 My camp site on the beach front... camping is still cheaper than using the huts of course

 Lots of Baobab trees about the place

Drove the bike down to the beach and all the local women wanted to be in a picture... I said OK if they put their buckets on their heads :)

Lots of the local transport is by Ox cart

Harvesting the rice is done by hand with a cicle

Ploughing is done by Ox... They get multiple crops per year here... Food does not seem to be a problem.
