They are despised by all and sundry here.... Entirely because of their mischievous behavior... They get into anything and everything and they are pretty much impossible to keep out from an area (they can of course get over any fence. The only solution is to put bars on all the windows and keep doors closed and locked (since they learn how to open doors by watching people do it!
Here are a bunch of pictures... They may seem cute and interesting but once you have seen them fighting you know you don't want to mess with them... They have a mouth like a dog with very long and no doubt effective teeth... They also learn how to smell food (like bread) and will deliberately hunt and attack children who have been sent to buy food from a shop ... quite nasty!
