A Different San Pedro

There must be literally hundreds of towns named after Saint Peter in South/Central America... And in the world for that matter (St Petersberg etc.)... Actually, someone once suggested to me that it´d be an interesting tour of the world - Visiting all the places named after St Peter!

In the latin america they are called San Pedro and Ive spent some time living in one such town located on a lake in Guatemala... And Im in a different one now...

Completely different!
Its the main base of tourist operations in the Atacama desert region of Chile.
Its a dusty little tourist trap (very wealthy compared to neighbouring villages due to the tourist dollars). There are a hundred little knick-knack shops and bars and tour agencies etc. And the place is packed with Chileno tourists at the moment because its their summer holidays...

But, rather than take pictures of the tourists and the dusty streets, Ill show you some of the local desert... Its quite pretty in places :))
